Public debate: transfer of hemp out from the 1st group of illegal drugs, Slovenia, December 2016.

Committee on Health of the Slovenian National Assembly was dealing with “Legislation of usage and production of hemp in medical purposes”. This proposal was adopted unanimously and it was directed to Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia and it shall provided that the hemp should be transferred out from the 1st group of illegal drugs. The Ministry of Health shall also prepare suitable basis to enable Slovenia the production and processing of hemp in medical purposes. Ministry of Health has prepared a draft and it was submitted to the public debate. ICANNA International Institute for Cannabinoids was involved and it welcomes the decisions of Committee on Health. ICANNA pointed out that the proposed solution of the Ministry of Health is not consolidated with the Committee on Health.  Basing on illustrative examples ICANNA is recommending transfer of hemp into the 3rd group of illegal drugs.
